Can my dog eat your cat food and vice versa?

Cats and dogs have different nutritional needs, so it's important to feed them food specifically formulated for their species.

Cats are obligate carnivores, meaning they rely on nutrients found in animal-based ingredients. Dogs have different nutritional requirements, so our cat and dog recipes are formulated with different balances of nutrients, specific to their unique needs.

Regularly feeding your dog cat food, or your cat dog food, could lead to nutritional imbalances or deficiencies over time.

What if my pet accidentally eats the wrong food?

Don't panic! If your dog sneaks a little cat food, or your cat pinches some dog food, a one-off nibble is unlikely to cause any problems.

However, it shouldn't become a regular habit. If your pet has eaten a large amount, seems unwell or you're unsure, we'd recommend checking with your vet.

For everyday feeding, always choose a complete and balanced recipe designed for your pet's species.
