What ingredients do your recipes exclude?
Depending on the recipe, we offer options formulated to exclude ingredients such as:
Grains and gluten
Beef and pork
Dairy and eggs
Soya
Certain animal proteins, including poultry
We also offer limited-ingredient and single-animal-protein recipes, which may make it easier to find an option that fits your pet's dietary requirements.
Not every recipe excludes the same ingredients, so always check the full ingredient list on the product packaging or product page before choosing.
Are Scrumbles recipes hypoallergenic?
Our recipes are not veterinary hypoallergenic or hydrolysed diets, and we can't guarantee that any recipe will be suitable for a pet with a diagnosed food allergy.
While certain recipes are formulated to exclude specific ingredients, our food is produced at facilities that also handle other ingredients, including common allergens. This means traces may be present due to cross-contact during manufacturing.
For this reason, we cannot guarantee that any of our recipes are completely free from a particular allergen.
If your pet has a diagnosed food allergy or is following an elimination diet, we'd recommend consulting your vet before introducing a new food.
What if my pet has a sensitive tummy?
If your pet is sensitive to changes in their diet, we'd recommend introducing any new recipe gradually over 12–14 days.
Start by mixing a small amount of Scrumbles with their existing food, gradually increasing the proportion as they adjust.
If your pet experiences persistent digestive symptoms, or you suspect a food allergy, consult your vet.
